Slip Holder Agreement

Slip Assignment

Boones Ferry Marina ("BFM") assigns one boat moorage slip per customer. Marina slip assignments are non-transferable and non-refundable. They may not be rented or sold and are valid only for the calendar year indicated. Slip holders agree to moor only the boat registered with BFM and must email a change of boat request to BFM before mooring an unregistered boat. BFM will make every effort to accommodate requests for location changes during the renewal season. Cancellations and location changes are subject to a $200 fee. All slip agreements expire on December 31st of each year, and new agreements are required annually. BFM reserves the right to refuse agreement renewal for any reason.

Slip Reserve/Renewal Period

The Slip Reserve/Renewal period begins January 1st. We suggest signing up promptly to secure your spot. The reserve/renewal period ends on February 1st. Once slips are finalized on March 1st, any remaining slips will be offered to those on our waitlist. Full payment is due up front.

Requirements

All marina slips must be kept in good working order, operational, clean, and in good appearance at all times. This agreement prohibits attaching materials of any kind to the dock or finger piers. All boat lifts require marina management approval prior to installation and are subject to an additional fee.

Fuel

BFM provides fueling services at the Fuel Dock during posted business hours, which are available on our website.

For safety regulations set by Clackamas County, customers are prohibited from fueling their boats within the boat slips. If you wish to fuel your boat yourself, you must drive it to the Fuel Dock and park along the dock to do so. Fuel containers are not permitted in the general moorage area, except on the Fuel Dock. Violation of this rule may result in immediate termination of the slip agreement and removal of the boat from the moorage, as well as a $500 penalty for safety violations.

Liability

BFM provides assigned moorage in its present condition, which includes the state of the docks, finger piers, and any related infrastructure. Slip holders agree to accept the moorage as is, without additional modifications or improvements from BFM. BFM shall not be responsible for any losses or damages of any kind to the slip or their property, including but not limited to damage caused by weather, theft, vandalism, fire, or other unforeseen events beyond BFM's control. Slip holders agree to indemnify and hold harmless BFM from and against losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses incurred as a result of their occupancy of the premises, including any negligence of BFM. Slip holders are responsible for fees associated with repairing or replacing any damage to the marina, assigned slip space, and dock box. Slip holders must carry insurance against loss by fire, theft, windstorm, and other potential damages or losses during the agreement period. At a minimum, this coverage should include liability insurance of at least $300,000, as well as hull coverage appropriate to the value of the boat.

Parking

BFM provides slip holders with close-in parking for moorage. Each slip holder receives two parking permits. To ensure availability for slip holders, BFM contracts with a tow company to patrol the lots and remove vehicles without valid permits. Slip holders must ensure their permit is visible on the driver's front windshield. Vehicles without a Boones Ferry Marina Permit may be towed. If a slip holder is without a parking permit for any reason, they must use the pay-to-park lots to avoid towing. Replacement and/or extra parking passes will be available for $20 each. If you need a replacement parking pass please contact our Marina Coordinator.

Termination

BFM reserves the right to terminate this agreement due to disruptive behavior or violations of the terms including but not limited to threats of violence, reckless driving, swimming or jumping off the docks within the marina, damaging property, and unwarranted behavior towards customers or employees. No refund will be provided for unused portions of the agreement. If legal action is required to enforce compliance with the terms, the slip holder agrees to pay all associated costs and attorney fees incurred by BFM.
